What is HubSpot CRM | Customers Relationship Management

In HubSpot CRM, a deal refers to a potential sale or a business opportunity that is being tracked in the sales pipeline. A deal represents a specific sales transaction, such as a potential sale of a product or service to a customer.

Deals are created and managed in the "Deals" section of the HubSpot CRM. Each deal is associated with a specific contact or company record in the CRM, and it includes information such as the deal amount, deal stage, expected close date, and any associated products or services.

Deals are organized into stages, which represent the different steps in the sales process, from initial contact to final sale. The stages can be customized to match your business's specific sales process, and you can use the deal stages to track the progress of each deal through the pipeline.

By tracking deals in the HubSpot CRM, you can gain valuable insights into your sales pipeline, identify potential roadblocks, and make informed decisions about how to allocate resources to maximize sales and revenue.

Instead of knitting it all together. I would recommend you use an all-in-one CRM email marketing solution like Show that also offers you in-depth email analytics, Omniscript tracking, deep segmentation, high email deliverability, and much more. Elevate your email marketing game and achieve better results with Show.

Google Ads & Hubspot – is it possible to pass a gclid into Hubspot, then once a lead becomes a customer and revenue is tracked, Hubspot send that revenue back to Google Ads as a "conversion value"?

The goal here is to track revenue for every conversion. I know it's possible to pass gclid into Hubspot, but not sure if Hubspot can send the revenue data back into Google Ads.

It's a very simple process where you can pass this data through Hubspot Marketing events to Google ads

https://knowledge.hubspot.com/create-and-sync-ad-conversion-events-with-your-google-ads-account

We can make use of custom fields in Hubspot and use Zapier or Make to send data back to Google Ads.

Need ideas for customer tracking without a dedicated CRM.

I just started as a Junior AE at a company that currently does not have a dedicated CRM. We use NetSuite for operational data, but I think we can all agree that the CRM aspect is abhorrent/nonexistent, despite IT leads saying otherwise. I am planning to make 100 calls a day (company is very relaxed, no Activity metrics) but I need a way to keep track of who I am calling and status stuff. I don’t have hardly any sales experience. Right now, I’m planning to just use a clunky spreadsheet, but I am terrified at how that might look after 100 calls.

When searching for a CRM similar to HubSpot but at a lower cost, several options are available to consider based on your specific feature requirements:

Zoho CRM: Zoho CRM offers a comprehensive set of features for managing customer relationships, sales, marketing, and support. It provides various pricing plans, including free options and affordable paid plans, catering to different business needs.

Bitrix24: Bitrix24 combines CRM functionality with collaboration tools, project management, and communication features. It features a free plan suitable for small teams and cost-effective paid plans with expanded functionality and additional user access.

Freshworks CRM: Formerly known as Freshsales, Freshworks CRM offers an intuitive platform for sales process management and customer interactions. It provides flexible pricing options, including a free plan and affordable paid plans tailored for businesses of all sizes.

Agile CRM: Agile CRM is a feature-rich platform encompassing contact management, sales automation, marketing automation, and customer support capabilities. It offers a free plan and affordable paid plans designed specifically for startups and small businesses.

To make an informed decision, evaluate each CRM's features, scalability, and suitability for your business requirements. Consider factors such as pricing plans, trial periods, and customer reviews to select the CRM that best meets your needs while offering a more budget-friendly alternative to HubSpot.

My buddy used to work in marketing and he tested lots of CRMs over the years. This matches what he told me: “use the free version as long as you can and then pray that you can afford the paid version by the time you need it.”.

I'm using Hubspot + Webflow for website management at the moment. Setting up all the landing pages in HS has always been a pain, I find, and it's way easier with Webflow right now. I just integrate HS forms into my pages. The CRM itself has many features, which can be good, but it also gets messy quickly if you are not extra careful in your setup and processes.

But yes, as others said, a paid plan gets expensive rather quickly because you pay for contacts and specific features you add to your plan. Now running on a marketing plan, and it gets more expensive by the quarter.

The ONLY thing that drives me crazy is the landing page creation tool - it auto saves every few seconds and creates a lag which makes you want to throw the laptop out the window at times.

I've been tasked with finding CRM software that has a support ticket system (Similar to Helpdesk or Zendesk), in addition to having Sales funnel tracking and the ability to log calls, emails etc. Preferably one with easy email to CRM Integration. So far we've been using Thryv, but they do not have a support ticket and whenever we send emails through Thryv, the customer has to click the Thryv link in order to reply. Which I'm not a fan of. I want to switch all of our CS agents over to this CRM software but I don't have a whole lot of experience with CRM.

Cleaning duplicates in CRM (Hubspot x Salesforce)

We are looking into  https://cloudingo.com/ because our CRM has too many duplicates to manually merge.

But I could just have in integrated with SFDC and then sync HS to SFDC and that would reflect, right?

If you turn on the setting where if a lead/contact is deleted in Salesforce then it’s deleted in HubSpot, yes, that would in theory work but you could potentially be losing some of your marketing data since you wouldn’t be merging contacts in HubSpot, just deleting them.

From <https://www.reddit.com/r/marketingoperations/comments/126t7kd/cleaning_duplicates_in_crm_hubspot_x_salesforce/>

Used Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics 365 too. Hubspot is more cost effective. It can do the dashboards you’re looking for, email automation or help with campaigns, and likely integrates with whatever project software you use.

I just took over marketing for a small webshop and I have big hopes and dreams. They use Activecampaign, but just for their email newsletter. For the sales pipeline and CRM, they use... excel. It looks like HubSpot will work well for tracking sales, marketing campaigns, and probably reporting. They don't need the CMS that HubSpot has, but we will probably use some kind of Hubspot to drupal integration for landing pages. Is there anyone with experience with ActiveCampaign that can compare the two?

AC is basically mailchimp

HubSpot can provide all the Features you need. Email Marketing, free CRM and Landing Pages, reporting. No need for drupal or active campaign at all. You can get all this in Hubspots Starter Bundle (CRM/Marketing/Sales/CMS) for a couple bucks/month. Source: I'm working at hubspot, but No need for me to sell anything Here, I can't Take any Profit of of it.

Here are my arguments from my own personal experience:

  • HubSpot can handle all of the activities you mentioned,

  • The newsletter, track who engages with it, and opens it.

  • CRM - connect with greater efficiency, understand lead attribution, where did the lead come from. Use the information to engage with the lead to turn them into buyers. Excel Spreadsheets only track.

  • The newsletter, track who engages with it, and opens it.

  • Landing Pages, as others have pointed out, Hubspot can handle this chore, and keep the integration as well as your marketing tech stack simple

  • From my personal experience, ActiveCampaign is not as intuitive, therefore not as easy to customize the platform.

  • HubSpot has far better live phone support, ActiveCampaign has only chat, as in you are number 39 in the queue.

Microsoft is itself a complete eco-system and great for big corporates , MNCs and banks that can afford them. For small business, CRM systems like Zoho etc might fit well. But on the whole, Dynamics 365. Office 365, Power Platform will dominate almost every big corporation

I know Kris Britton from KAYBE moved from Hubspot to Groundhogg. I believe he explains why he did that on this page. Groundhogg is open source, self hosted. Not too sure about the integrations with Twitter, Instagram and WhatsApp but you certainly could ask the Groundhogg Community about API

You'd be looking at a CRM + Help Desk Integration. What's your company size? For less than 200 employees, and if you're using Google Workspace, would recommend checking out Copper CRM. For Help Desk software, Help Scout is my favorite. You can integrate Help Scout and Copper to track support tickets per customer (do this in our business).

HubSpot ticks all your boxes and you can have the in the free version, but the starter bundle is a steal at $30 / month.

Both Zoho and Salesforce have this functionality - big difference in pricing between them

We are using Intercom integrated with Salesflare through Zapier.

EspoCRM. It is an open-source platform that can be easily tailored to your needs. The system offers a range of excellent tools for handling contact, lead and account information and monitoring your interactions with them (calls, emails, meetings). It also includes useful functionalities for managing the sales cycle and automating support ticket tracking. With its help, you can track the deal flow, manage products, organize support tickets, create customer self-service portals and knowledge base, etc.

A lot of software out there that combines the CRM and ATS functions for recruitment businesses to track leads, candidates and placements (permanent and assigning temporary jobs). I am also a fan of Bullhorn for ATS/CRM.

I used SuiteCRM (Open Source & Free) and customized it to work as a full applicant tracking and CRM system. There is even a plugin to integrate to various sms, email, and other tools.

We are a small/medium company looking for an ATS or ATS/CRM (candidate relationship management) system with the functionalities below. Please note that have already tried or checked Zoho Recruit, Workable, JazzHR, BreezyHR and JobAdder. Zoho Recruit with LinkMatch is the one which meet almost all our needs but they have a lot of technical problems. Please also note that we are small biz, which search and/or recruits up to 5 people per month, so Workdays and Taleo is out of our budget.

  1. 1.

Centralize talent pool of candidates: organize all candidates such as applications received from job posts, candidate info. imported from spreadsheet and CV/resume imported from PDF/doc.s

  2. 2.

Filter candidates using keywords: Be able to search candidates by keywords from all the data base mentioned above (job post applicants, PDFs/doc resumes previously updated, profiles manually created or uploaded from spreadsheets). The system should be able to search in ALL the fields/sections available on the profile such as summary, experience, educations, inMails, notes created by us, interview notes, etc. Please note that Zoho Recruit has this functionality but the technical team is checking on it because we identified some errors on their basic searching functionality.

  3. 3.

Individual and bulk import of COMPLETE profiles from LinkedIn Recruiter: be able to import all the fields available on a LinkedIn Recruiter profiles (such as summary, all the experience details, education, languages, skills, inMails, notes and tags). Please note that ZohoRecruit use a third party call LinkMatch which import individually all the profile details from LinkedIn Recruiter and it even has an option to sync the inMails to Zoho Recruit, but the system have some bugs so it doesn't work every time. Please note that LinkedIn has integrations with some ATS but LinkedIn API only send few fields to the ATS (name, last name, linkedIn URL, headline, location and company).

  4. 4.

Manage duplicates profiles and be able to merge them.

  5. 5.

    Enrich profiles.

  6. 6.

Communicate with applicants by sending inMails and emails from the ATS (individually and bulk): similar feature offered by Gem

  7. 7.

Track candidates you have contacted by inMails and emails: similar feature offered by Gem

  8. 8.

Be able to source passive candidates from job boards (manual filtering and instant sourcing with AI technology).

  9. 9.

One-click posting to free job portals

  10. 10.

Shortlist candidates, who have applied to job posts, automatically.

P.S. We would like the advice from the final users (recruiters) instead of sales representatives.

Looking for recommendations on a CRM where the concern isn't sales funnels, but referral management.

TL;DR - a vet clinic looking to manage referring doctors and set up communication with them, so there isn't really a sales cycle with closing stages, but wanting to enter LTV (revenue from their referred patients) and then set up communication flows (eg: thank them for a referral, handle contacts, view last time they sent a referral, etc.).

I imagine most can handle workflows like this, but all sales related software are heavy on the opportunity/funnel use case which isn't quite a fit here.

As long as there is an API to sync data in/out, then we are good on the integration side.

Yes, Airtable can be a solution. You could also explore building it yourself with a no code tool like bubble or similar. But Airtable would probably be easier.

You could build a referral system in HubSpot but it would be expensive as you need Ops Hub Pro for coded actions and workflows.

You could also try this with Zoho’s tools I guess.

Perhaps the simplest approach would be the usual CRM but rename the Deals/Opportunities as Referrals - should give you all the tracking you need. If you don't want to use any Lead Tracking (Referral Farming?) then you don't need to unless you want to track the sources that your referrals are coming from.

We set something like this up for an insurance agent who got referrals from multiple sources ie: lawyers, clients, etc and for a dentist, who got referrals from other dentists.

The truth is, almost any CRM can do it. At the end of the day, its just about setting up the logic and pushing the data where you want it to reside.

We did it with Groundhogg because it is open source and has an open API. The data had to reside on client servers due to industry regulations, so, this was the perfect solution. It also had ability to store documents. Customization possibilities are endless. This was the right fit for our insurance agents and dental clinic.
